Cooking Instructions: Stovetop: Bring 1/2 package (3 cups) and 1/2 cup water to boil. Cover and simmer 8 to 10 more minutes or until tender. Drain; season to taste. Note: When cooking larger amounts, add an extra 1/4 cup water and 2 minutes simmer time for each additional cup of beans. Microwave: Place 1/2 package (3 cups) and 1/4 cup water in microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high 7 to 9 minutes, stirring once, or until tender. Drain; season to taste. Note: When cooking larger amounts, add an extra 2 tablespoons water and 2 minutes cook time for each additional cup of beans. Microwaves vary, adjust times as needed. For Food Safety and Quality, Follow the Cooking Instructions: Before eating, cook thoroughly to at least 165 degrees F. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Do not thaw. Refrigerate leftovers. Serving Suggestions: Add a layer of thawed green beans to shepherd's pie. Cook with chunks of smoked ham. Stir into chicken casserole recipes before baking. Add diced tomatoes and bacon bits before cooking. Keep frozen. If thawed, do not refreeze.
